More Fair, Less
money; Advance sale tickets save fairgoers money.
State Fair offers tickets online. We've got some big plans for this year including On-Line
ticket purchases for the Mountain Fair.There are 48 Agricultural Fairs within the
state. This section works closely with the North Carolina Association of Agricultural
Fairs, and Fair Managers to assist in fulfilling guidelines to meet laws and regulations
required by the General Statute. A major role of the fair is to include the emphasis on
agriculture.
The County Fairs also feature the "Goodness Grows Kid's Club". This is a
program developed to interest young people in agriculture. "Secret Words" are
hidden at various locations around the fairground and kids compete in a treasure hunt to
find as many as possible. Completed forms are put in a drawing for prizes.
Plans are underway for the 2002 County Fair Season.
