The Nu Wray Inn is located on the town square of
Burnsville. Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, the Nu Wray Inn is an old
fashioned country inn surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. Already operating at the
time the town was established in 1833, the Nu Wray is the oldest continuously operating
inn in Western North Carolina.
Located 30 miles northest of the city of Asheville, it is in the heart of Yancey County.
Whether your plans are to hike, bike, golf, sight-see or just relax, the Nu Wray Inn is
the spot from which you can do it all. We are a short drive to Mt. Mitchell, the tallest
mountain in the eastern United States, as well as Chimney Rock, Grandfather Mountain,
Asheville's famous Biltmore Mansion and many parks and waterfalls. Or you can just sit on
our front porch rockers and relax. And we're just a short hop off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
So whether you want a base to stay at while you tour around the area, or a place to just
relax and enjoy our hospitality, or merely want to stop by and share one of our meals,
please give us a call.
