Downtown Asheville, rises the fully restored historic Kress Building with its
cream-colored terra-cotta tile and gray granite exterior. In this majestic building
one finds the Kress Emporium, the Kress II Mountains to the Sea Gallery and the luxurious
Kress Condominiums.The Kress II Mountains to the Sea Fine Furniture and Art Gallery,
with its beamed high ceilings, cascading marble staircases and open gallery floor space,
provides an inviting atmosphere in which to view original art work and fine English and
Oriental furniture as well as exquisite glass and bronze. You'll find 4' high
terra-cotta urns and round terra-cotta wall plaques. The gallery features fine handcrafted
hand-rubbed English oak and cherry tables, servers, hunt boards, selection of English
chairs as well as pine cupboards, farmhouse plank top and side tables and servers that are
all crafted from old English planks that have been removed from old English
cottages/homes.
