Inside Information:
Our 400 acre property on the Blue Ridge Parkway affords us the opportunity of developing a lodging facility in one of the most beautiful locations in all of Western North Carolina's High Country.  

Creek Side Cabins
The development of these cabins was in response to visitors at the campground requesting accommodations that were more than just camping cabins.
  For a true mountain get-a-way, our cabins are nestled along a
mountain stream, secluded by the dense Pisgah National Forest.

  • Cabins for Two to Ten Guests - all cabins are beautifully furnished with all the amenities:
  • Bedding - linens - kitchen utensils - dishes - microwave - gas range
    refrigerator - jacuzzi - fireplace - cable TV - phone - porch furniture
  • All you need to bring is food, toiletries, clothes and yourself!
  • Cabins are OPEN YEAR ROUND.
  • Two Night MINIMUM stay and security deposit required.
  • Check In is 3:00pm - Check Out is 11:00AM

Mountainous, private wooded acres.
144 Campsites for tents, pop-ups, RVs, with water, electricity, fire rings and picnic tables at each site.
Log Campin' Cabins with private porch
Sites with full hook-ups, pull thrus.
Sanitary disposal stations
Modern bath houses, each with hot showers, coin operated washers and dryers.
Trading Post - groceries, ice, drinks, firewood, souvenirs, camp supplies, LP gas.
Tourist Information Center
Five Play Areas - well-equipped - basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, badminton, swings, etc.
Recreational Building - Square dancing, shuffle board and ping pong.
Game Room - pool table, pinball, videos, etc.
Lake Swimming - sand beach, patio area, paddle boats and fishing.
Nature trails - Bear Den is joined by National Parks Services and US Forest land.  This affords campers with miles of trails.

Our entrance is directly off the Parkway. Due to Parkway regulations there can be no
commercial signs. So follow directions and look for mile post 324.8 and road sign
BEAR DEN MOUNTAIN ROAD. Open April 1 to October 31st.
