White
Water Rafting
Watauga River (class I-II): This section is dam
controlled to insure good water flow. This five-mile section combines fast moving water
with beautiful scenery. Wilson Creek: This
creek drops 85' per miles and is the ride of a lifetime...dropping over 5' to 10' ledges
as the white water engulfs you! This is an early spring and late fall trip...Just Do
It! French Broad River (Class
II-III): Intermediate trip for ages 7 and up.Rockclimbing and Rappelling
We offer an introduction to rock climbing
and rappelling and an intermediate trip to rock climbing. Our introductory trip places
emphasis on enjoying a safe and exciting day. Our intermediate trip places emphasis on
teaching gear placement, safety and climbing techniques.
BackPacking & Day Hiking
ACGS is located near a dozen beautiful outdoor destinations that
are accessible by hiking. We offer trips to get to these places through day hikes or

Caving
Appalachian Challenge Guide Service offers a
unique underground experience with exploration of some of the most challenging caves in
Tennessee and Virginia. As you explore the caves with an experienced guide, you will learn
how these delicate environs were created. See many fascinating formations and learn how to
appreciate the need to preserve and protect God's creation for others to enjoy and explore
in years to come! |
